The International Association of Certified Tomatis Consultants

IARCTC - Tomatis on Facebook

IARCTC is the professional organization for Tomatis Consultants world-wide. It was founded in 2001 and has now more than 200 members from 26 countries.

The Association promotes Tomatis Method research, organizes the biannual Tomatis International Convention and is a forum for experience exchange among its members.

Certified Tomatis Consultant Members subscribe to a code of "Standards of Practice and Ethical Principles".  This document governs the professional use of the Tomatis Method.

The Tomatis Method is used worldwide at more than 400 private Centers, schools and institutions. Each year, our Members welcome and help more than 50,000 children, adolescents and adults.

Ricochet, the official, peer-reviewed journal of our Association, is dedicated to reporting information about the Tomatis Method and its many applications worldwide.

About our Members

We care about the results which our clients achieve when they undertake a Tomatis Program.  Consequently, we would like you to be aware that only our Members can claim to be Certified Tomatis Consultants, adhering to our Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

Our Members are licensed, exclusively,  by Tomatis Developpement SA (TDSA) , the sole owner of the Tomatis brand registered around the world, to use the “Tomatis Method”.   Our Members, collaborating with TDSA, combine over 50 years of experience of the Tomatis method with the latest research in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science.  Together we develop innovative and non intrusive programs optimizing the processes of learning, listening and communication.

IARCTC Certified Tomatis Consultant Members have completed the rigorous training programs sanctioned by TDSA and receive required on-going annual training.  Only Certified Consultants are trained, qualified and licensed to deliver the full, passive and active, "Tomatis Effect". They are licensed to use the Tomatis Listening Test, and to design individualized programs based on client needs.  They keep up-to-date with the latest professional research and share their knowledge with their peers.

Use of the "Electronic Ear", a sophisticated and proprietary system, is reserved to Certified and Registered Consultants.  Tomatis Consultants develop the strategies involved in perceptive organization and the management of sound environment which the brain is normally able to use when listening is not disturbed*.  Certified and Registered Tomatis Consultants are qualified and licensed to deliver the "Tomatis Method"  and they have full voting rights in the Association.  Individual Consultants, depending on their professional work and specific qualifications, deal with a host of issues which might include ADD/ADHD, Autism, Cerebral Ataxia, Asperger's Syndrome, Dyspraxia, Auditory Processing, Speech and Language, and many areas of Personal Development.
